"Mom , dad when I grow up I wanna be a lawyer .. I will provide the family with the best money could buy . I'd buy you guys a huge mansion in tropicana and we'll all live happily there . It'd just be like a fairy tale."

What exactly does it mean to pass out promises. Often too much , most of us are unable to fulfill the promises that we give out and most of us are oblivious to the fact that we are doing so . As I looked back , I realized there too much that I was incapable of fulfulling . I cant say that there aren't any regrets that I didnt do so. I wished , I didnt passed out blind promises like promoters passing out free pampletes in the mall .

But , Im sure Im not the only one going through this phase . I remember when I was a kid , My parents promised me to take me to Australia again , but they never did . I was rather disappointed , but thats not the point . Promises no matter how big or small or even insignicficant . It plays a huge role in our lifes . By breaking a simple promise we could violate one's trust whether drastically or subliminally .

Back , in the days when we were kids , we were full of hopes .. Full of dreams , and nothing seemed unreachable , we make promises without weighting the possibilities . I wonder , only how much people have we let down ? How many 's trust have we violated before we finally decided to try to hang on to our words no matter what?

Yes , and my media player being a mind reader and all .. Its playing the song Promises by Adema right now as Im typing this entry . I swear sometimes , my media player's timing is so good it freaks me out. As I've read somewhere, promises play out a role in our esteem , whether or not we realize it . Everytime we break a promise , subliminally our esteem goes lower and as it piles up we'll get a sense of inferiority and a sense of being unable to do anything right.

Imagine this , you walk into a forest just any regular green forest . As you walked and walked you suddenly realize you've been stepping the same path over and over again . You are now lost . Out of no where you see this glimmering light and being a lost man you've decided to take your chances and follow that light ..

And as you walk , you walked out of the forest and entered a much morbid scene .. The scenery gives you the creeps . But there's something seemingly familiar about this area but you cant quite put a touch to it . With that thought put aside , you've decided to follow the light deeper into the area.

As you progress further you realize that , there are now less trees and the surroundings were much darker . In front of you , you see a junkyard . Without realizing why , you ran towards the junkyard . You frantically dig the ground , you dig and dig , till your fingers are bleeding and all your nails are broken .

You picked up an item , a seemingly familiar item that brings you back to the nostalgic days and you realize the item was a symbol of something far back in your adolescenes days .You kneel on you knees and start smashing the ground. Can you guess what that item symbolizes?

Some may get what Im trying to say here , some may not and yet I can't blame you . I have horrible penmanship . I guess ultimately , there's nothing we can do about all the past promises that we may have broken . The best we could all do now, is hold on to the words that we give out . I will do that , this I promise you. Will you?
